Charity Work

I was blessed and fortunate in my early 20s to become very successful and earn a lot of money. One of the first things I did when I start earning money was give back to charities. One of them was memorial Sloan Kettering children’s Cancer Hospital I’ll never forget many years ago when I was visiting my friend’s father we went the wrong way and accidentally walked down into the children’s cancer unit let me tell you this it had a lifelong impact on me. It brings you down to earth more than anything in this world and gives you the highest sense of gratitude. To see these children so with smiles on their faces going through what they were going through and with such a positive outlook was very inspiring to me and I always wanted to give back to them. Another special charity of mine is the Special Olympics. Special Olympics always had a special place in my heart. When I was a young boy there was a young kid in the neighborhood who always wanted to play ball with us and I made it a point for him to always be on my team it made his day. He was so happy and when I watched the Special Olympics and see the smiles on their faces the genuine joy that they have melts my heart. Another special charity for me was Santa clause letters for children. When I was working at my firm on Wall Street we had a post office right down the block off Wall Street. In early December I would go down there and take a handful of Santa Claus letters the children wrote to Santa Claus in the North Pole. I would bring a handful up to the firm and I would hand it out to other brokers who wanted to participate and I personally would send out five letters a year. It didn’t matter what the kid wanted. I would buy it and mail it to them. One year I sent a PlayStation and a bike another year, I sent computer laptops and whatever toys were wanted. It’s of very special importance to me with the charities to give back and to be grateful and to have a level of gratitude to give back charity work. I will always do that for the rest of my life. Thank you kindly for following along in my journey.
